Putting for the Pipeline is an annual charity golf tournament benefiting the following educational programs and diversity initiatives of The Bar Association of San Francisco and its nonprofit Justice & Diversity Center:

Diversity programs

The School-To-College program provides counseling, tutoring, SAT prep and college tours to high school students who will be the first in their families to attend college.
San Francisco Law Academy provides curriculum built into several core classes where junior and senior students learn legal concepts, as well as interview and job skills that prepare them for internships in the legal community.
An interscholastic competition where high school students learn persuasive public speaking, advocacy, and other legal and professional skills from volunteer attorney coaches.
Destination Law School provides resources about law schools and the legal profession to diverse undergraduate students.
The scholarship program provides a substantial three-year commitment to qualified, deserving students, with the vast majority of scholarships awarded at $10,000 yearly.
A collaboration with the San Francisco Unified School District where volunteer attorneys visit classrooms to facilitate legal-themed projects that complement the teacher's lesson plans.

The goal of these programs and initiatives is to increase diversity in the legal profession by assisting underserved and diverse students to advance along the educational pipeline from K-12 through law school and beyond. Learn more at www.sfbar.org/jdc/diversity
